Researchers aimed to describe the features and outcomes of generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) flares using historical medical data from patients participating in the Effisayil™ 1 trial. Resolution of flares lasted longer than three weeks in more than half of the documented typical, most severe, and longest flares. Typical flares took up to two weeks for pustules to clear, while the most severe and longest flares took between three to eight weeks. The findings highlight the slow control of GPP flares with current treatment options and underscore the need for more effective therapeutic strategies for managing GPP flares in patients.
