Immunosuppressants and biologic treatments with immunosuppressant action are agents that commonly treat psoriasis, while nanotechnology allows drug tailoring with effective dermal targeting while keeping side effects to a minimum. With the goal to improve topical therapy for patients with psoriasis, researchers reviewed topicals alongside nano-based drug delivery systems containing immunosuppressants.
