A recent review and meta-analysis examined interventions for bipolar disorder (BD) based on lifestyle psychiatry’s six pillars: diet, physical activity, substance use, sleep, stress management, and social relationships. Findings showed that combined diet and physical activity interventions significantly improved depressive symptoms and functioning, as did sleep interventions. The study suggests a need for future research on more comprehensive lifestyle interventions for better clinical and functional outcomes in BD.
