A case report analyzed human herpes virus-6 (HHV-6)-associated meningitis in a 36-year-old man with psoriasis. He presented with a worsening headache and painful oral lesions. A CT scan was inconclusive, but cerebrospinal fluid analysis confirmed HHV-6 infection. Treated with intravenous ganciclovir, this case underlines the potential for HHV-6 infections in individuals with mild immune disorders like psoriasis. The report suggests the need for further research into the connection between psoriasis and herpesviruses in immunocompetent adults.
