Researchers recently studied regenerative medicine’s ability to replace damaged or diseased tissues, finding challenges in translating this concept to clinical practice. As a result, there is growing interest in using extracellular vesicles (EVs) to enhance or even replace current approaches. This review focuses on the advantages of using EVs for treating skeletal defects, providing an overview of the current state of the field and suggesting areas for further investigation.
