In a study assessing the impact of Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI) on kidney transplant (KT) recipients, a significant increase in morbidity and mortality was observed among those affected by CDI. Using the Nationwide Inpatient Sample from 2016-2020, 557,635 KT recipients were identified and analyzed based on the presence of CDI, with a focus on various outcomes like in-hospital mortality, acute kidney injury (AKI), and more.
