Zohra Hussaini, MSN, FNP-BC, MBA, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in pain management at the University of Kansas Health System. She serves as the lead NP and Advance Practice Coordinator of APP’s in the interventional pain clinic. She is a leader for APP integration and awareness through participating in shared governance in her institution as a member of the Opioid Stewardship Committee, and lead the development of the Advanced Practice Provider Council, which she past Chaired and continues to be an active member of.
Zohra finds professional growth and stays engaged in her field through active membership and participation at multiple national pain and nurse practitioner societies, serving as faculty, course director, and planning APP education for ASRA, ASPN, AANP, PainWeek, NANS and many more. She is a speaker and educator locally, nationally and internationally and is active in ongoing research and publications. She has led quality improvement projects in her department to standardize provider experiences and optimize patient care and outcomes.
She has been awarded Clinical Excellence recognition as NP of the year in her institution and nominated in the national light for her leadership in APP education. Zohra also is an advisor to industry partners to advocate and promote APP educational opportunities.
