Sonia Bahroo, PA-C has been in clinical endocrine practice since 2005. She received her B.S. and M.S. in Biochemistry from NC State University and her Master’s degree in Medical Science from Methodist University. She initially worked in a private Endocrine practice in North Carolina before joining GW MFA in Washington, DC where she practiced for 15 years. She currently works at Capital Diabetes & Endocrine Associates in Camp Springs, Maryland, specializing in the treatment of diabetes, thyroid disease, gestational endocrinology, and obesity. She encourages her patients to be active participants in their health care and emphasizes the importance of physical activity for overall health.
She has lectured and precepted medical and PA students, spoken at conferences, published articles in Clinician Reviews and PA Clinics, served on multiple pharmaceutical advisory boards, and held leadership and board positions in professional societies. Currently, she is on the American Diabetes Association’s Clinical Diabetes Editorial Review Board and Vice President of the American Society of Endocrine PAs (ASEPA).
