Dr. Robert Smith, PA-C, is employed by Pediatric Associates Family of Companies (PAFC / MDMG) in Family Medicine (FM) as the Regional Lead Clinician (RLC) for Family Medicine and sees patients at Clinicas Mi Doctor in Irving TX. As the Family Medicine Lead, he is responsible for creating and establishing policy and serves in various leadership roles; Clinician Advisory Council, Chair of the FM Patient Safety and Quality Committee, and has created programs such as Adult Telemedicine, FM Training Program for new clinicians, FM Leadership & Development program, and others.
He is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. Graduated PA School at the University of California, Davis FNP/PA program. He has earned a Master of Science (MS), at Arizona School of Health Sciences, Doctor of Health Science (DHSc), and a Graduate Certificate in Education (Ed), A.T. Still University, College of Graduate Health Studies and certified in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) by Cornell University.
Dr. Smith actively serves in professional organizations as a fellow or in a leadership role. He a member of the American College of Health Care Executives (ACHE), Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA), He is the Co-Founder of PAs for Latino Health (PALH), Immediate Past President of the Association of PAs and NPs (APANP), President of the PA Historical Society (PAHx), and Founding Member of Academia de Asociados Medicos de Puerto Rico, (AAMPR). He has completed original research, is published, and actively precepts students in clinic.
