Charlie earned his MSPAS from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013 and has been working in a clinical capacity at Johns Hopkins University Hospital since that time. For the past 6 years, he has been providing patient-centered care as a Senior PA, within the Department of Radiology, Division of Interventional Radiology (IR). Since joining IR, he has been one of the leads, spear-heading the drive to bring minimally invasive procedures to the patient’s bedside, in an effort to provide expediated treatments and care, all the while decreasing the need for OR/Fluoroscopy Suite times. He additionally serves as a liaison between various departments coordinating teaching, point-of-care Ultrasound (POCUS) Training, and procedural training of new residents, Advanced Practice Providers, and faculty.
His professional credits include several publication credits, medical conference presentations, as well as assisting to educate the future generation of providers by classroom lecturing and hands-on teaching. He has been previously recognized and received numerous awards including more recently, the 2020 Johns Hopkins Service Star Award, the 2020 University of Pittsburgh PA Outstanding Alumni Award, and the 2022 Johns Hopkins APP award.
