Ashlyn Smith has practiced adult endocrinology in Phoenix, AZ, since 2013, after previously practicing in internal medicine and pediatric endocrinology. In addition to patient care, she also manages a multidisciplinary regional tele-endocrinology program. Ashlyn stays active in the medical community by lecturing at the local, state, and national levels.

She currently serves as Immediate Past President on the board of directors for the American Society of Endocrine Physician Assistants and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ.
