Paola Gonzalez MPAS, PA-C is a bilingual clinical provider for over 20 years in unique diverse Hospital, Medical and Private Practice settings in multiple specialties. PA Gonzalez has extensive practice experience with Latino populations, that equipped her with a deep understanding of the cultural, educational, and language barriers that impact healthcare delivery. This has shaped her approach to patient care, emphasizing the importance of addressing social determinants of health and advocating for comprehensive, culturally sensitive care.

She previously served as President for PAs for Latino Health and currently is Director at Large for the American Academy of Physician Associates. She is engaged in mentoring future healthcare providers and promoting medical Spanish as a crucial tool for effective communication. She actively practices in Breast Medical Oncology at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.

She is the recipient of the 2024 National Hispanic Health Foundation Leadership Award for her role in improving the health of Hispanics. The AAPA 2024 Diversity Award which honors a PA that serves as a champion of DEI within the PA profession or community and recently won 2024 PA of the Year for the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.

PA Gonzalez earned her Bachelor of Physician Assistant Studies from Touro College in 2004 and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2021. Her commitment to healthcare excellence and advocacy continues to inspire and drive meaningful change in both clinical practice and healthcare policy.
