Research aimed to understand personality traits in myasthenia gravis (MG) patients found that they have higher levels of neuroticism and lower levels of openness and extraversion compared to healthy controls. Neuroticism in MG patients correlated with disease severity and was also linked with anxiety and depression, common comorbidities in MG. The findings suggest that psychological interventions could complement pharmacological therapy for MG patients.
