In a recent narrative review, researchers analyzed myasthenia gravis and its proper management, determining that its root causes rest in genetic susceptibilities. Treatment should focus on reducing inflammation and symptom management. Proper care requires an interprofessional team approach, involving primary care doctors, pharmacists, nurses, physiotherapists, and neurologists. Education about the disorder, potential triggers, and the importance of medication compliance is critical for patients and their families. The narrative concluded that regular follow-ups are vital due to risks of relapse and associations with other autoimmune disorders, and that coordination among professionals is essential for optimal patient outcomes, especially in emergencies.
