Using next-generation sequencing, researchers identified potential genetic links to the onset of psoriasis. In addition to next-generation sequencing, researchers used a customized multigene panel to investigate germline alterations associated with psoriasis. Analyzing a family, variants linked to psoriasis were found in the TRAF3IP2 gene, along with a missense variant in the NAT9 gene. The use of multigene panels in psoriasis may aid in identifying new susceptibility genes and facilitating early diagnoses, especially in affected families.
