America’s Top NP (ATNP) and PA (ATPA) Awards, hosted by POCN, recognizes healthcare professionals annually to highlight dedication to industry
PARSIPPANY, N.J. – August 24, 2021 – For the fifth consecutive year, POCN, the largest and most trusted network of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Associates (PAs), is honoring 2021 healthcare heroes for their extraordinary contributions to support patient care, their local communities, and their fellow frontline workers. Nominations for both awards, America’s Top NP (ATNP) and America’s Top PA (ATPA), are now officially open on POCN’s website.
POCN and the ATNP and ATPA Awards annually recognize outstanding NPs and PAs and further demonstrate POCN’s commitment to advance the healthcare professions. The winners of the ATPA Awards will be announced in October 2021 to coincide with National PA Week (Oct. 6-12), while the ATNP Awards will be announced in November 2021, aligning with National NP Week (Nov. 7-13). This year, there will be 15 ATPA and 15 ATNP awards representing PA and NP contributions across various specialties. Greater consideration will also be given to NPs and PAs who were nominated by their peers.
“Especially at this time of ongoing pandemic concerns, we are honored to recognize outstanding NPs and PAs this year at the America’s Top Awards,” says Richard Zwickel, Founder and CEO of POCN. “Our healthcare workers have gone above-and-beyond this past year and are the true heroes. With these awards, we aim to recognize these frontline workers and tell their stories.”
Winners of America’s Top NPs and PAs will receive:
- A one-year paid membership to the American Association of NPs (AANP) or the American Academy of PAs (AAPA)
- Recognition and press exposure in healthcare media, including on POCN social media and web properties (such as feature videos on POCN+ and POCN.com)
- Ability to serve as an advisor to POCN, helping to advance educational programs in support of the NP and PA community
POCN offers NPs and PAs the opportunity to become a POCN Ambassador, which further elevates NPs and PAs in their respective practice groups. As a POCN Ambassador, these healthcare professionals earn honoraria through a variety of initiatives, including live speaking engagements, advisory board participation, focus group leadership and contribution to clinical research studies. Through these educational opportunities, POCN Ambassadors have the unique ability to impact NPs and PAs.

About POCN
POCN is the largest and most informed network of 400,000 NPs and PAs. The organization is trusted by government organizations, medical associations, providers, pharma and life sciences companies to help advocate for NP/PA clinical decision-making resources. POCN achieves this by helping healthcare organizations make more informed decisions to improve patient outcomes. Often, treatment data does not accurately attribute treatment decision-making correctly to a NP or PA. POCN has a proprietary data mining approach which allows the organization to uncover ‘true’ treatment prescribers. As the role of NPs and PAs continues to evolve and expand in the healthcare landscape, POCN is dedicated to helping organizations such as the Breathe Better Network, APP associations and industry partners in identifying and bringing awareness to APPs for therapeutic updates and clinical education programs.
